Power leaves a trail of images — the pictures it makes of itself, and the ones it makes of us. These collages take that material apart and turn it against itself.
Censorship, occupation, the cult of the leader, racial violence, control of the body, surveillance: different regimes, different decades, one machine. The images were made in power’s service. Here, they are evidence against it.
